There are a couple shortcuts to the most used text formatting options.
A double asterisk before and after a word replaces the 'strong' command.
so * *strong text* * when the spaces are removed becomes strong text.
Also a pair of \ marks either side create italicised:
\ \italic text\ \ without the spaces becomes italic text.

Pro you do del in the triangular brackety things (the shift full-stop and shift comma ones) then /del
so {del}delete this text{/del} when put in the right brackets becomes:
delete this text

Pro if you use the triangular brackets, the ones above , and ., put del inside the first pair, then what you want to cross out, thn /del in the second pair.
It's hard to show here because type it in properly and it happens!

Pro I can see what your doing, the second del needs a / before it so you put /del in the second brackets.

Hi AJ i have a query well more like i'd like you to teach me something really.
I want to put a link on one of my posts to a website but rather than just copying & pasting the link (web address) onto my post i'd like to replace it with other words for example 'click here' or 'go take a look' whatever......
I hope you get the general gist & that i am making sense!

Pro Ahh, this is a nice easy one.
Use control-C to grab the web address.
Go to the post edit screen and type the text you want to link.
Highlight it by selecting it with the left mouse button.
Click the little button that looks like the planet earth with a chain link over it, it's to the right of the FUKD section, around centre.
That'll bring up a box which you simply Control-V the web address into and it makes the text you selected your link.
OK, now it's my turn to hope I'm making sense...

Pro On the site doing the widgets there should either be an embed code or just some HTML.
If you just grab it you can put it directly into a post or if it's small enough it can go into your sidebar, to do that go into design, then modules and past the code into one of your two free HTML boxes.
Then go into the content bit and drag the yellow HTML bit into the sidebar.
Your sidebar (if you only have one) is only about 200 pixels wide so check it's small anough to fit.
If you can't find the code I can look at the originating website and se if I can spot where it is.
